Omashram Trust, is a charitable Trust founded in the year 2001 with the Objective of providing care and succor to the old. The co-founders of the trust are Mr. Mohan Pai and Mrs. Geeta Shankar. Omashram is registered as a trust with The Sub Registrar’s office in Jayanagar, Bangalore under document no. 276/2001-02 dated 7.9.2001. The auditors are NousSys Consulting- Alsa Greenidge, Langford Road Bangalore560025 and its accounts have been audited annually)
All donations to Omashram Trust are exempt under section 80G. of the Income Tax Act.We also have the FCRA Clearance.
Our valuable VISION
To have our own infrastructure consisting of a double storied structure—Ground floor consisting of 50 beds for the aged- with complete medical aid and care for the residents who are drawn from poor and middle class families and sort of abandoned by their families.
To provide full boarding and lodging facilities, personal nursing, medical care by a doctor on call, a library, and occupational/recreational diversions for the aged.
The first floor would be designed to house 50 orphaned children in order to facilitate the living together of the young and the old-which would enable both the generations to share the little pleasures which each of them were deprived of in the normal course.
The children will be added responsibility of the Trust and will be provided with good education and employment.
We would also provide free medical services to the aged poor residents as well as the children of the locality.
